It’s almost a new year — 2016 is right around the corner! It’s the perfect time to start fresh and start thinking about a new planner to help you keep track of your goals and schedules. I absolutely love the Erin Condren Life Planner and I’ve been waiting patiently to finally start using my 2016 Erin Condren Life Planner!
There’s something really nice about beginning a new planner. I love the Erin Condren Life Planners because they are so colorful and fun. It’s easy to stay motivated and really use your planner when it is beautiful and exciting. I’ve lost motivation to use planners in the past and it ends up being a waste of a planner because the year is over and you can’t use it again. With Erin Condren Life Planners, each month is a fresh, new color and there are stickers included in the back of each planner that make you excited to plan and motivated to be organized.
I will be using the new, horizontal layout in my 2016 Life Planner for the first time and I can’t wait. You can read all about my 2016 Horizontal Layout Life Planner Review, but in this post, I wanted to share a few other “accessories” that I use to plan and to make my Life Planner more personalized and fun.
First of all, I love the new colors in the horizontal layout of the 2016 Life Planner. The colors are more subtle, but not pastel colors. They’re more “sophisticated” while still being fun and exciting — my favorite. I love the ombré transition from one color to the next. 
In the front of my planner, I have the StylizedSticky notes with metallic detailing from Erin Condren. These sticky notes are the cutest. The colors go perfectly with my planner and the metallic detailing really makes them extra special. I like how they snap right into my planner as a planning dashboard. Cute! This neat Elastic band came for free with my metallic Life Planner but you can also buy them separately for $7 in a set of 3 multi-color pack. It’s nice to be able to secure your planner with a cute elastic band or use it as a place-holder when your planner is open.
These Party Pops pens are super cute and they write really well. I actually use these at work and in my notebooks all the time. I love the colors and they don’t bleed through the pages. These pens come in a travel case and are $10.
The classic sticker book ($15) and the polaroid zip photo printer ($130) really take my planner to the next level. When I first saw the sticker book, I was in love with all the colors and the metallic detailing. It’s super pretty, I almost don’t want to use any of the stickers! I like how there is so much variety, but each sticker really complements my planner. See more of the stickers included in the sticker book here.
The Polaroid Zip Photo Printer is an automatic home run. I love photos and I love stickers — printing my own in about 45 seconds? Yes, please! To me, this is the best way to really personalize your planner. I like sticking pictures on the monthly calendar page to highlight birthdays or special events that month. But even just a random picture of Jon Snow ^ is fun to remind us that winter is coming and to spice up my weekly view.
I also like to use these cute Post-It flags to highlight a certain task or remind me of something extra important. Plus, the colors are bright and they are easy to use and remove again and again. I really like how thin the packaging is as well — it fits perfectly in the zipper pouch in the back of my planner for easy, on-the-go planning! They even have a variety of colors available, so you can color code your planner too.
These Sharpie fine tip felt pens are my favorite! Super fine tip writes like a dream and the ink does not bleed through. I use these pens for everything and I’ve included them in a few monthly favorites posts, but I think they’ll always be my favorite. If you are looking for a go-to perfect pen for your planner, I highly recommend these. They even have colors available too which I like as well, but black is perfect❤!
