Directions
To start off with your LUSH-Inspired Fourth of July Bath Bombs, sift all of the dry ingredients into a large bowl and gently mix/whisk together. In a separate bowl, combine all of your wet ingredients, excluding the food coloring. I used Peppermint as my essential oil, but you can use whatever essential oil you like. (Check out my Original LUSH-Inspired Bath Bomb post for some of my favorite essential oil combinations!)
Next, slowly add the wet ingredients into your dry ingredients and mix quickly. You don’t want your bath bomb mixture to have a chemical reaction, so it’s super important to incorporate the wet ingredients a little at a time and are mixing throughly. (See what happens to your bath bomb texture if you add too much of the wet ingredients too fast).
Once your bath bomb mixture is the consistency of wet sand, separate the mixture into three separate bowls and add the red and blue food coloring. Combine the food coloring so that it’s fully incorporated into the bath bomb mixture.
Add in a little of the extra fine glitter into the white bath bomb mixture. Now, you’re ready to mold these fun LUSH-Inspired Fourth of July Bath Bombs! Take your stainless steel bath bomb mold, add a sprinkling of the star candy, and layer in either the red or the blue bath bomb mixture.Gently press in the bath bomb mixture into your mold; a firm press is perfect. Add some of the white bath bomb mixture over the red color in one half of the stainless steel mold, and add white on top of the blue color in the other half of the stainless steel mold. Give each half a firm press and then add more of the white color so that each half of the mold is overflowing — this will help the halves to stick together.Over the bowl of the white color bath bomb mixture, firmly press each half of the stainless steel mold together. There will be some fall out, but the bowl will catch it and you’ll be able to use it with the next bath bomb.Gently twist the halves of the stainless steel bath bomb in opposite directions to loosen the bath bomb from the mold. Gently turn it over out of the mold and into your hand — set it aside on a paper towel to harden.
After ~3 days, my bath bombs were completely hard and just like they are at LUSH. I love how cute these turned out and the candy stars are such a cute touch.

Directions
Sift all of the dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Be sure to wear your surgical mask and work in a well-ventilated room. The SLSA is super powdery and you do not want to breath it in.
Combine your wet ingredients together and add it to the dry ingredients. The consistency of this bubble bar mixture is weird and a little crumbly. I did add a touch more water to get a more dough-like consistency, but you do not want to add too much of the wet ingredients or your bubble bars won’t harden.
Separate your bubble bar mixture into three sections. Add the red and blue food coloring, so that you’re left with a red, a white, and a blue bubble bar ball.
Lay out a square of parchment paper and place the red bubble bar dough in the center. Cover the dough with another piece of parchment paper and gently roll out the dough with the rolling pin.
Repeat this process, adding the white and then the blue on top of the red layer. I added the star candy and glitter onto the white layer of my bubble bar. Adding the candy adds that extra 4th of July touch, but it makes it slightly more difficult to cut your bubble bar into slices at the end.Now that you’ve layered your colors, use the parchment paper to help roll up the bubble bar into a tight roll. Go slowly and press firmly with the parchment paper — this will create a nice swirl of color in your bubble bar and prevent it from cracking/crumbling.
Once your bubble bar is a nice, smooth loaf slice your bubble bar with a knife. It’s so pretty! You can make the bubble bar slices as thin or as thick as you like.I love the swirl of color. My red is definitely more on the pink side, but it’s still Fourth of July; especially with the star candies inside. Let the bubble bar slices harder for ~3days to harden so they are like the LUSH kind. And there you have it — LUSH-Inspired Fourth of July Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars! ❤
