It’s my birthday month! Each year I like to make a list of some things I’d love for my birthday. This time I’ve broken it up in to three different categories: Makeup/Skincare, Tech, and Extras.
August 2016 Birthday Wish List
Makeup/Skincare
This makeup remover is the best I’ve used. I still have about half of a bottle, but I am needing to stock up. I wear waterproof mascara and it can be difficult to remove with just a cleanser. I find that this makeup remover on a cotton pad is the easiest way for me to remove my eye make up without lots of rubbing and irritation.
I’ve been using this serum for years — you can never start too soon with a good skincare/anti-aging routine. The bottle I have has just run out yesterday so I’ll be purchasing a new one soon. I love the serum and lightly pat it into my skin with a few drops of the Josie Maran Argan Oil so it can fully absorb.
This is my all-time favorite mascara. I used to use the regular kind which was much easier to remove, but the waterproof version is much better for holding curl and not flaking throughout the day. And with the bi-facil eye make up remover, cleansing my face at the end of the night is just as easy.
Again, this is another Lancome product that I’ve been using for years. I haven’t yet used the reformulation they’ve recently come out with, but the original was awesome. I saw an improvement in my skin’s texture and it felt soft.
Tech
I am always on the lookout for iPhone cases it seems. The one I currently have had a bunch of little rhinestones all over the back, but they’re all falling off now and it just looks so junky. This iPhone case from Apple is silicone and comes in a variety of colors. I like this blue one, but there’s also a lavender one I think looks nice. Plus, they’re really slim, so your phone will still be really sleek but also have good grip.
I currently use a Halo portable charger and I love it. It’s definitely saved my phone multiple times, but I would love a new portable charger that can handle multiple charges or that is faster at charging. There are tons of choices, so I’m not too picky — maybe an ultra slim one in all white.
My mom has one of these and I think it’s so cool. Basically, it’s extra storage for your iPhone. So if you take tons of photos or videos and it’s taking up all of your phone’s storage, then you can just plug in this drive when you’re out and it’ll store your photos to free up space on your phone. I haven’t had a problem with storage on my new phone, but my last phone actually had so many photos that it wouldn’t allow me to take more pictures.
Extras
The bkr water bottles are all glass with a colorful silicone sleeve. I love the three that I have now, but I would enjoy another color. I have my eye on the Bellini (peach) color in the 1 liter size.
I love these pens and the variety of colors. I actually ordered these already as a gift to myself and I was pretty excited because they were $5 cheaper than I saw at my Target. The pink is my favorite. In the set I already have, there were only six colors so I’m excited to have the full range.
I haven’t ridden a bike in forever, but I love the beach cruiser style bikes and the fun colors they come in. I would love to go on bike rides around the neighborhood in the evening or on the weekend.
I had some of the Lisa Frank school supplies when I was younger and I loved all of the rainbow bright colors. They’re just so fun and beautiful! Now there’s a whole line of Lisa Frank clothes! I saw this rainbow Pegasus sweatshirt and I wanted to buy it instantly. It’s made to order so it takes up to 25 days to process, but it’s so pretty. Right now it’s on sale for $60.
There’s a new Harry Potter book out and I haven’t heard much about it yet. I haven’t tried to read any reviews to avoid spoilers, but I’d definitely like to read it. If I don’t get it for my birthday, I’ll probably end up waiting to try to find it at a used bookstore.
