I’ve been having a lot of fun recreating some of the LUSH Christmas products this year. This DIY Luxury Lush Pud is super cute and I think my at home version looks pretty similar to the LUSH one. Here’s my LUSH-Inspired Luxury Lush Pud:
Ingredients
You’ll need the following ingredients to make your own Luxury Lush Pud:
- 1 C. Baking Soda
- 1/2 C. Citric Acid
- 1/2 C. Epsom Salt
- 1/2 C. Corn Starch
- 2 1/2 tbsp. Almond Oil
- 3/4 tbsp. Water
- 2 tsp. Essential Oils (Lavender and Vanilla)
- Mixing Bowls
- Bath Bomb Mold
- Food Coloring
Separate wet and dry ingredients
Sift all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl and whisk together. In a separate bowl, combine all of the wet ingredients (except the food coloring). For the Luxury Lush Pud, I used lavender and vanilla essential oils.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Once you’ve got your wet ingredients combined and smelling good, you will add the wet into the dry.
This needs to be done slowly and a little at a time or the bath bomb mixture can react and it’ll create bumpy bath bombs that won’t fizz in your bath. Add some wet ingredients (little by little) into the dry ingredients and quickly mix it in. Once you’ve got all the wet ingredients combined, your bath bomb mixture will be the consistency of damp sand.
Separate bath bomb mixture & add color
Separate your bubble bar mixture in to 5 different bowls so you can add the food coloring. Set one of the bowls aside because it will remain white and without food coloring. Add food coloring to the remaining bowls to get all the colors for the Luxury Lush Pud — pink, green, yellow, and orange.
Create your Luxury Lush Pud
With my LUSH-inspired Luxury Lush Pud, I took the pink color and lightly packed it into the bottom half of the bath bomb mold. Take a thumb print size of each different color and pack it along the side of the bottom half of the bath bomb mold. Set that bottom half of the bath bomb aside and fill the other half with a tiny bit of green bath bomb in the center to mimic the mistletoe in the Luxury Lush Pud. Add a little of the white color and gently pack it in. To complete the top half of the bath bomb, I overflowed it with more of the pink color and pressed both halves together firmly.
Remove the bath bomb from the mold and set aside
Gently remove the bath bomb from the mold by giving the mold a slight tap. The bath bomb should come out smoothly. Set it aside on a paper towel or any clean surface to harden. I let my bath bomb harden for 2-3 days. With this recipe and the mold that I used, you can make four Luxury Lush Pud bath bombs.
