Winter is almost here! I love the change in season and the cooler weather. In the winter, I do my night time routine a little differently. With it getting darker earlier and the cold, dry air, I’ve switched it up a little. Here’s a look at my winter night time routine:
Washing my face
I like to wash my face once I know I’ll be in for the evening. I don’t do a very thorough job when I’m tired, so the sooner it’s done the better. My skincare routine hasn’t changed much over the years; here’s my night time routine:
- Remove eye makeup with Lancome Bifacil Eye Makeup Remover and a cotton round.
- Wash my face with my Clarisonic Mia and the Purity facial cleanser.
- Wash my face by hand with whatever is left of the Purity cleanser on my face.
- Use Garnier Micellar Water and a cotton round to remove any left over makeup.
- Pat on the Lancome Genifique serum onto my face.
- Pat on a few drops of the Josie Maran Argan Oil all over my face and neck. (I love this stuff!)
Taking a bath
I don’t usually take a bath every night, but if I have a lot of time then I will. I like to use The Comforter bubble bar (but sometimes I use one of my DIY bubble bars), and one of my little DIY bath bombs for a little fizz. My last bath was The Christmas Penguin bubble bar and a DIY Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb. When I get out of the bath, I like to use Josie Maran Argan oil or the Whipped Argan Body Butter as a lotion.
Watching Netflix
Right now, we are still watching the X-Files. The series is almost over hopefully we can find another fun show with a lot of episodes. Let me know what other shows are good on Netflix!
Planning in my LifePlanner

Surfing the Internet
Usually, I’ll spend some time on Pinterest or Youtube before going to bed. I like to watch different “Plan With Me” planner videos on Youtube or DIY things on Pinterest. Lately I’ve really been into recipes on Pinterest. There are so many awesome ideas that I want to try. Some of the latest recipes that I’ve tried are:
- Slow Cooker Spinach and Artichoke Dip Recipe
- Extra Crispy Oven Baked French Fries
- Copycat Bang Bang Tofu
Brushing my teeth
I brush my teeth right before bed with the Tom’s fluoride-free toothpaste. I’ll sometimes floss with those little flossing sticks. Then I apply the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (so good!)
Going to bed
I love the winter time because it’s super cold and I can pull out all my soft and fluffy blankets! I use my silky pillow case to prevent my hair from getting knotted or losing its natural oils. But I haven’t needed my eye mask lately since it’s so dark out!
Having a routine is so important especially when it comes to skincare. Also, having a routine before bed can help you sleep better and transition better in the morning! What’s your night time routine like?
