It’s the end of January! (This month flew by….they all seem to fly by). Now is a great time to check in and see how you are doing towards your New Year resolutions. If you need a little encouragement, here’s how to stay motivated and keep up your New Year resolutions:
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Getting into a new routine can be difficult at first, but by tracking your progress in a notebook or a planner, you can visualize your progress which can help motivate you to keep going. Also, when you can see how close you are getting toward reaching your goal, it’ll make it more difficult to skip a day or give up.
WRITE IT DOWN
Keep your goals front of mind. Write them down and hang them up in your house, or set them as your phone’s lock screen. The more you see your goals and are reminded of your purpose, the easier it’ll be to keep your eyes on the prize. I always find that writing down my goals helps me to realize them because I can see it. Visualize. Actualize.
TREAT YO’SELF
As you make progress toward your goals, reward yourself to keep the motivation going. The reward can be small, but whatever it is, make it significant for you. You are capable of so much — as you reach little milestones, don’t forget to celebrate those wins.
DON’T BE DISCOURAGED
It’s ok if not every day is perfect. Don’t give up on your resolutions or goals just because you make a mistake. Just start back up again; you can do it.
REMIND YOURSELF WHY YOU MADE THIS GOAL
At one point, this resolution was important to you. Take some time to remind yourself the reasons why you want to accomplish your goal/keep your resolution. Don’t lose sight of what you really want. ♡
