Whenever I travel somewhere, I pack up all of my favorite products. Since space is often an issue, I don’t have room to take everything; only the essentials. I’m super happy with my makeup right now. Everything I have is my favorite and it all fits nicely in my travel bag. Here’s a look at what’s in my makeup bag:
SHISEIDO EYELASH CURLER
This is seriously the most amazing eyelash curler. I never understood the point of curling your eyelashes until I got this curler. Also, you should never curl your lashes after you have applied mascara — it can catch your lashes and rip them out. With this curler, your lashes will stay curled and looking nice even without mascara.
LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA
My favorite mascara ever. It’s no secret since I talk about it all the time. I love the waterproof version because it holds that curl in my lashes and won’t smudge if I get ta little teary or if it’s rainy or something. lol. Best mascara ever.
JOSIE MARAN ARGAN SUNSCREEN
I actually only started using this again because I ran out of my Lancome moisturizer. It’s been amazing and I love the finish it gives to my skin. Plus, it has SPF which is so important to me in a facial moisturizer.
TARTE TARTELETTE IN BLOOM EYE SHADOW PALETTE
I recently just got this palette, but I already love it so much. After I use it a little bit more, I’ll do a full review (Full Review HERE!). I love this palette because there are so many neutrals and they all blend so nicely. Also, there’s like a sweet smell with these eyeshadows? It’s a little strange, but not unpleasant.
MAKEUP FOEVER PROFRUSION HIGHLIGHTER
I love how you can definitely see this highlighter on your face. I’ve had highlighters in the past that maybe show up in the sun. But this highlight is super bright and it blends really nicely. I like to apply this to my cheekbones and on my Cupid’s bow.
ANASTASIA BROW DEFINER
If I had to have one makeup product, it would be this brow pencil. I love having a pencil to fill my bows because it gives me a lot of control to create the shape I want. I like how this brow pencil has a spoolie on the opposite end as well. Makes it easy to blend everything out.
NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION
I feel like this foundation is my perfect color right now. I use the color: Fiji. It’s such a nice, sheer but build able coverage that applies perfectly with the beauty blender.
TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY BLUSH
I have been using this blush for forever. The color I use is Dazzled. It’s such a soft, dusty rose that would be perfect for any skin tone. I love all of Tarte’s products; I’m so excited for the Sephora birthday gift this year!
HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING POWDER
I like this finishing powder to give a subtle blur to my pores. I use it all over my face or sometimes just to set my under eyes. I am glad I got the small version because it’s perfect for travel and you really don’t need much.
MARC JACOBS CONTOUR PALETTE
I love how easy this is to use to get a glamorous contour look. I use the contour side to sculpt out my cheekbones and jawline. I use the highlight side to set my under eyes. It’s so nice having a two-in-one palette and it’s perfect for travel.
VIKTOR&ROLF FLOWERBOMB
My absolute favorite fragrance. I love Flowerbomb and I like to travel with a little roller ball version so I always have it with me.
URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION
I love using an eyeshadow primer because it makes my shadows more vibrant and longer lasting. I use this with the Tartelette in Bloom palette and it helps my shadows stay on all day.
BENEFIT POREFESSIONAL
I was never sold on primers, but I used them to “make my skin more even for the foundation”, but this primer actually does it and I notice the difference. I really prefer this primer over the Smashbox one or even the Mineral Veil one I recently purchased.
BOBBI BROWN GEL EYELINER
For a while, I wasn’t sure I still liked this eyeliner. I ordered it once and it was great, but it wasn’t as nice when I reordered it. There seemed to be hard, plastic-y layer over the top that prevented me from getting enough product or something. So, I mixed up all the eyeliner with a little plastic wand and it made the eyeliner super creamy and nice. Now, it’s easy to apply the liner and it’s so smooth. Love it!
BEAUTY BLENDER
You can’t go wrong with the Beauty Blender. I use this to apply my Nars Sheer Glow foundation and occasionally to “bake” under my eyes with the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder.
I keep everything in my Ted Baker makeup bag which is so cute with its floral design! What’s in your makeup bag?? I’d love to see. Link me in your post on twitter or tag me on Instagram!
