These little painted pots are so cute because they’re mini! I bought a bunch of cute succulents and some tiny terra cotta pots to decorate and this DIY turned out so pretty. Here’s how to make your DIY mini glittered plant pots:
This DIY is super easy. Here’s all you need:
- mini succulents or cacti
- mini terra cotta pots
- white acrylic paint
- sponge brush
- mod podge
- washi tape
- gold glitter
PAINT YOUR BASE
Create a white base on your terra cotta pots with a few coats of acrylic paint. I used three coats of paint to make it more opaque. Creating a little cute decor piece like these are perfect for spring. I love having some greenery around the house.
TAPE OFF YOUR DESIGN
Once your paint has dried, tape off the sections that you want to add glitter to. I made some random triangle designs, and just taped of the tops and bottoms of the pots. Washi tape is good for this because it can peel off easily without removing your white paint.
MOD PODGE + GLITTER
Apply a thin layer of mod podge to the area you want your glitter to go. Then sprinkle on your glitter. I used this really pretty rose-goldy gold glitter and I love how it turned out. Pretty much anything with glitter is amazing for me.
PLANT YOUR MINI SUCCULENTS
After your glitter has dried, remove the washi tape and plant your succulents. I added some small rocks to the bottom of the pots to help with water drainage.
And that’s it. I have these all over my house — on my desk, in the bathroom, in the kitchen. These little mini plants are the perfect way to brighten up any space with a little life. ♥ If you make these, share this post on Pinterest!
