I bought the Stila Glitter & Glow liquid glitter eye shadow during the Sephora spring sale and I’ve been using it every day. Here’s my review after using it each day for a week:
Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Glitter Eye Shadow
The doe foot applicator is super soft and is flat on one side so you can easily glide the product across your lids. The applicator is quite large on the flat side, so you can cover a lot of area with one swipe, but you can also easily use the thin side to get into your inner corner.
I layer the glitter over my eyeshadow in the inner corner and all over my lid. The product is wet and I wasn’t sure if it would crease since my eyes are a little hooded. Once I let the product dry completely, I didn’t have any problems with creasing or fallout. The glitter eyeshadow is so easy to work with and sets to a nice smooth finish. However, if you do touch your eyes or try to blend once the product has set, the glitter will start to flake off.
I saw swatches online, but the glitter is so intense in person; I love it. Like I said, I’ve been wearing it every day since I bought it. The glitter is smooth fine, but it’s still an actual glitter — not a shimmer. I have the shade Kitten Karma which is a beautiful rose gold color with coppery and goldy glitter. This color is so perfect and flattering and even though it’s super bright glitter, I feel like it’s “natural-looking” because of the pinky champagne color.
I debated on which color to get since stila has quite a few to choose from, but I’m super happy with Kitten Karma. In fact, I love it so much that I want to make sure I have a backup. This .15fl.oz. liquid glitter eyeshadow is $24, but I just found it on sale at Nordstrom for 15% off so I bought another Kitten Karma and one in Diamond Dust which is a silver glitter color.
Removing the glitter shadow was also easy. When I just use a regular cleanser, the glitter just kind of washed off like any other makeup. I did have a lot of fall out/mess when I tried to remove it with a makeup wipe — the glitter just got all over my face.
