It’s getting close to the end of the year which always gets me excited for a fresh start and new goals. Each year, I buy an Erin Condren Life Planner to help me to stay organized and monitor my progress. Here’s a look at my new 2019 Erin Condren Life Planner and the accessories I bought to help me have the best year yet.
ERIN CONDREN LIFE PLANNER
If you haven’t heard of Erin Condren before and you don’t know what the Life Planner is — it’s a planner that is super customizable. You can build your planner from the ground up, choosing between a vertical, horizontal, or hourly layout; colorful or grey-scale interior; coil color; and you can choose and customize your cover. I really love it and the website makes it really easy to pick what works for you.
I love that the Erin Condren Life Planner gives so much variety and so many great options. You’ll have this planner all year, so you want it to be beautiful and personal. I find that I can get “bored” with a planner or seeing the same thing each week, but I never feel that way with my Life Planner because it’s so pretty that I want to keep using it, and I love that there is a new color theme each month (with the colorful version). It keeps me inspired and excited to use it which is the only way a planner can help you — if you are using it! WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY LIFE PLANNER
I have been using a Life Planner for 5 years now; this 2019 Life Planner will be my 6th one! I keep coming back to the Erin Condren because I love the design and the improvements each year. My planner helps me focus my thoughts and make a plan for my week/month/year.
Each week, I sit down with my planner and some fun stickers and map out my week — what I want to do, what I need to do, appointments, grocery lists, etc. It’s really fun for me to plan out everything, and I get to be creative with my stickers and colorful pens. Throughout the week, I’ll look at my planner and check off completed tasks, track progress towards my goals, and document interesting things that happened that day. I love seeing my progress and celebrating achievements — my planner has helped me budget to become debt free and also to track my 30+ pound weight loss.
With all of the memories in each Life Planner, I keep them after the year is up as a memory keepsake. It’s so fun to look back at my old planners and see how much I have accomplished and remember special milestones in my life.
2019 Erin Condren Planner
When the new Life Planner launch happened, I did a post on all of the things I ordered. I am so excited because I had a discount code for this being my 20th order with Erin Condren. With the new Erin Condren Insider Rewards Program, you can earn points for your purchases and can redeem them for discounts on future purchases. I did a full post on the EC Insider Rewards Program here. You can also get $10 off when you create an account with Erin Condren through my link.
Here’s a look at everything I got from Erin Condren for 2019:
I got a lot of accessories this year which I don’t normally do, but I had that discount so I wanted to try out some new things.
I chose the colorful, horizontal Life Planner with the Triangle Overlay cover and the regular silver coil. I also bought a second Hexagon design cover. I don’t usually swap out my covers often, but I really liked both so I plan on switching between the two.
I prefer the bright rainbow covers because they are so fun and happy, and they coordinate well with the colorful version of the planner. I feel like the fun colors put me in a good mood and inspire me to be creative.
There are motivating/inspiring quotes throughout the planner. I know a lot of people really like that, but I usually cover them up with my monthly budget. I really love the thicker paper that they recently introduced; it just makes the planner feel extra special.
There is a year at-a-glance page where you can block off special dates. I really like their transparent circle stickers for that, and they fit perfectly over a specific date. Also, these snap-in sticky notes are perfect for pre-planning/penciling in something without having to commit in pen. I actually really love these for helping to plan my blog content because I can write out all my ideas and then move them around on the monthly view calendar for the release date.
I call this section the Goals page because they are in the front of the planner and just really set the tone for the planner. I like to designate a category for each box and write out all my goals for that category. This year, some of my categories are: “Health & Fitness”, “Financial”, and “Travel”. I love having long term goals that I can work towards — it’s the best, most rewarding feeling when I accomplish the goal and can check it of my list.
With this new 2019 Erin Condren Life Planner, I bought a few of the snap-in dashboards. This one is cool because you can list out your top priorities for the day/week and re-use it again and again. The dashboards use the wet erase markers, so you can just wipe it off and use it again.
This dashboard is meant for tracking your meals and activity. I’m not sure how much I’ll use this one, but I thought it would be a good visual to help me see my meal choices for the entire week.
The horizontal layout is my favorite because it makes more sense to me and I feel like I have more room to write than the vertical layout (which I am also using for a side project this year). I got the Erin Condren designer sticker book which has so many cute stickers, and also this sticky notepad which is great for lists.
After the launch, I realized that I didn’t order the Planner Folio that I wanted and when I went to get one, it was sold out. Luckily, they are back in stock now and I was able to get the Triangle Overlay design I wanted. The Planner Folio is so great because it holds your Life Planner perfectly and any stickers and pens you would need on the go.
I’m really excited with everything I am looking forward to using everything next year. Don’t forget to create an account through my link for $10 off your first purchase, otherwise click here to order your new Life Planner.
