Casetify always has the cutest cases and they are constantly coming out with new kinds. Recently, they came out with a reflective mirror case that I’ve been using for a few weeks now.
CASETIFY MIRROR CASE REVIEW
PACKAGING
The Reflective Mirror Case came in the new packaging (just like my sequin phone case did).
Inside the box was a little Thank You card, and the case which was covered with a protective film.
You can choose between silver and bronze for the mirror case, and I chose the silver.
SILVER MIRROR CASE
Immediately when I saw the case, I thought it was super reflective just like a mirror — but the mirror is not made of glass.
The interior of the case is a black felt-like matte coating and plastic. The Casetify logo is embossed on the inside — subtle; I like that.
I chose to personalize my case with “MC” on the bottom in white. You can personalize yours in a lot of different ways (fonts, colors, placement), or choose from a pre-made design/text. If you use my link, you’ll get $10 off your purchase.
It was really nice to take off the protective film and see the clear, mirror back. It’s super reflective and beautiful. Immediately, I could tell that it looked like it would get a lot of fingerprints.
Protection
When I put the case on my phone, I was really happy with the snug fit. It wasn’t’t difficult to put on, but you can tell this case was made perfectly for the phone.
I also like how the case slightly comes up over the front of the phone — so that it’s protected in case it falls face down.
All of the cutouts for the speakers and sound/mute button line up perfectly. And the case covers the power button and volume buttons.
The grip of the bumpers feels smooth, but grippy. Overall, it feels really secure in my hand, and I know my phone is safe from falls.
FINGERPRINTS & SCRATCHES
Casetify says on their site that this case may get scratches from daily use, and I have seen a couple scratches show up. So far it’s not terrible, and not even really that noticeable when I focus on the reflection part.
Because the surface is so smooth and reflective, it also picks up a lot of fingerprints like I expected. I don’t notice them when I’m focused on the mirror, but they bother me when they catch my eye. The fingerprints and smudges clean off easily, but it’s a little annoying.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I really like this case. I love the weight and feel, and the protection. It looks really minimal and classic to me, and it’s fun to be able to use it as a mirror. I don’t like the visible scratches and fingerprints, but they are not bad enough right now that I would stop using the case.
