It feels like Sephora just had their Holiday Savings sale, and now they’ve announced a new month-long promotional event: Sephorathon! So if you missed picking up some things during the last sale, this may be a good time.
SEPHORATHON DATES & DETAILS
The Sephorathon is a multi-promotion event that is running all through December. Some of these promotions are new, and others we have seen before. Here are all of the Sephorathon Promotions:
Time To Save – Dollar Off Code
If you’re VIB Rouge, you get $25 off your purchase of $75 or more.
If you aren’t VIB Rouge, you can still get a dollar-off savings as long as you are enrolled in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Program. It’s free to sign up as a Beauty Insider, but your tier depends on how much money you spend at Sephora in a calendar year.
- Beauty Insider – entry tier
- VIB – spent at least $350
- VIB Rouge – spent at least $1000

Starting December 3 – December 9, each tier of Beauty Insider can get a dollar-off discount on purchases of $75 or more:
- VIB Rouge = $25 off
- VIB = $20 off
- Insider = $15 off
Use code: 2020SAVE to get your discount. It’s a one-time use code, and it works in-store or online.
This can be a really good deal as long as you spend as close to exactly $75 as possible. If you bought something exactly $75, your discount would be:
- VIB Rouge = 33% off
- VIB = 27% off
- Insider = 20% off

I’m planning on using my $25 discount towards Noni Glow Face Oil and Oat Cleansing Balm which comes to $77.99, giving me a 32% savings — a lot better than the Holiday Sale!

Exclusions & Restrictions
As with every Sephora sale, there’s some fine print with what products you can’t use your discount on and restrictions. A few details to note:
- discount not valid on The Ordinary products or dyson
- purchase must be $75 minimum before tax
- can’t stack with other promotions (including Insider Cash or Rouge Reward)

Point Multiplier Event
As part of the recent update to the Beauty Insider Program, each tier of Insider now only earns 1 point/$1 spent — except during “special” point multiplier events.
From December 10 – December 16, points are multiplied by tier:
- VIB Rouge = 4x points
- VIB = 3x points
- Insider = 2x points
Use code BIGPOINTS online; also works in-store.
I’m not a fan of these point promotions. Points are just “fake currency” to try to incentivize you to shop outside of a sale. If you were already going to make a purchase, might as well get your extra points. But I don’t recommend going out of your way to try and shop just for points.
Super Saturday
On December 19, Beauty Insiders will have a chance to win a Sephora gift card of either $100 or $10.
Beauty Insiders can play a virtual instant-win scratcher-style game to reveal if they are a winner.
- $100 gift card – one winner per store, one winner online
- $10 gift card – 100 winners per store, 100 winners online

Sale on Sale
To finish off the month, there will be a 20% off sale on all sale items.

This could be a good time to get a great deal on already discounted items!

Again, there’s a few exclusions to be aware of:
- discount will only work on purchases from the sale category
- not valid on dyson or The Ordinary Products
- can only purchase 5 Morphe products per SKU per transaction

Of all the Sephorathon promotions, I’m most excited about the Dollar-Off Savings since it’s technically the best sale of the year (as long as you spend ~$75 exactly). I also think the Super Saturday promo is cool, winning would be a nice surprise and you don’t even need to make a purchase to play!
