I’m so excited because the Neon Sand Liquid cases have finally been released for the iPhone 8 Plus. When I first saw these announced, I thought they looked so pretty. I love fun, bright colors and these cases have neon sand liquid inside. I ordered three of the four color options available for my iPhone 8 Plus. Here’s a review of my experience with the Neon Sand Liquid cases and a close up of the colors I bought (plus a link to $10 off):

NEON SAND LIQUID CASE REVIEW

SHIPPING TIME

I ordered my three cases and a screen protector on Saturday, and they were delivered the next Saturday (one week later). Shipping was free (which I low key have come to expect because I’m spoiled with my Amazon Prime).

PACKAGING

My cases arrived in their standard packaging. I’ve bought a lot of cases from Casetify and have always been pleased with the packaging — you could easily give this as a gift to your bestie, or a family member by just adding a to/from label.

Each case comes in its own hard box with Casetify written on top. It’s held closed by an elastic that loops over opposite corners. Inside, the case is sitting on a little velvet-like pad and there are a few cards that say “Thank you for your purchase” and tell you a little bit about the liquid case.

CASE DESIGN

There are a lot of designs that you can choose from for the Neon Sand Liquid cases. I chose to personalize two of mine with text — I got to pick the color, the font, and the text direction. There is a character limit and you can’t personalize multiple words, so you can’t have it say anything you want. For my third case, I chose one of the pre-made design options with some palm leaves — they have a ton to choose from.

These Neon Sand Liquid cases are very similar to the Liquid Glitter cases that I have, also from Casetify. Because they have a liquid layer inside, the cases are pretty thick and weighty. Before I got these Neon Sand cases, I was using one of the thinner, Classic Grip cases and I notice a big difference in thickness. I’m pretty used to it now but it’s basically identical to the regular liquid glitter cases.

The cutouts of these cases are perfect for my iPhone 8 Plus, and the case fits really snug and nicely. I love that the case is super pretty, but I mostly care about my phone being protected against falls.

This case offers strong protection for your phone and has a shockproof TPU bumper to keep your case safe. I love how the case slightly comes up over the front of the phone to protect it from face-down falls.

I like the feel of this case in my hand; it’s not slippery or weird. It’s grippy I like feeling the texture of the personalization on the back. I’ll probably end up putting a PopSocket on the back, but I want to enjoy the case on its own for a while.

There are a lot of personalization options for these neon cases. There are four color options for the neon sand. You can choose from a pre-made design option, or custom text like I mentioned before. Also, the sand glows in the dark and so does the text around the camera ring; it’s just a nice little extra touch. The “glow” isn’t very bright but you can see it in the dark.

COLOR OPTION CLOSE-UPS

I love the bright neon colors of these cases — they’re so vibrant and just help put me in a good mood. Watching the sand waterfall is so mesmerizing and calming.

Hotline (Blue/Pink)

The Hotline Neon Sand Liquid case is my favorite. The backing of the case is blue and the sand is neon pink. When the sand is moving around, it gives an overall purple look to the case. I customized this one to say “ALOHA” because I love Hawaii and it just reminds me of good vibes.  I chose the regular type font in the lime green color. I really like the contrast and how fun it looks together.

Exxxtra (Green/Yellow)

I really love this color combination as well. This case is the Exxxtra color which is a teal blue/green backing with a bright neon yellow sand. It’s so vibrant and gorgeous. I personalized this one to say “HILLCREST” in the berry pink font color. I love the contrast of colors and I think the neon green that you see when the sand is swirling is super pretty.

Flame (Yellow/Orange)

This case is the Flame neon sand color option, but I chose the palm leaf design overlay. The Flame sand combo is a bright yellow backing with neon orange sand and it creates a really pretty neon reddish color when the sand is swirling. The palm leave design can be used with any of the neon sand cases and I really liked it because the palm leaves are ombre from blue at the top to purple to pink. I think it looks so good over the yellow and orange Flame sand. It reminds me of a sunset; so pretty!
