Now that 2020 is almost over, I wanted to reflect on all of the knitting I’ve done this year! I had some ambitious goals at the start of the year — here’s a look back at what my plan was, what I actually made, what my favorites were, and a sneak peek at what’s on my needles now:

It feels like Sephora just had their Holiday Savings sale, and now they’ve announced a new month-long promotional event: Sephorathon! So if you missed picking up some things during the last sale, this may be a good time.
Flax Sweater | Knitting Highlight
The Flax Sweater by Tin Can Knits was the first sweater I ever knit. I first tried it out by knitting a child version for my niece, and then felt confident enough to make one for myself. Recently, this free pattern was updated to include more sizes, a cropped-body option, a new collar option, and a supplement for optional short-row shaping in the back.
Sephora Holiday Sale Event 2020
The 2020 Holiday Savings Event for Sephora Beauty Insiders is starting soon! Sephora only has two real sales each year, so this is exciting news if you are looking for some skincare or beauty items for yourself or as gifts.
I knit up these super cute, celestial sweaters for myself and my niece. The Astraeus is the adult version, and the Moonbeam is the child version. Read all about my knitting experience here:
I’ve been using a paper planner for years now to help me stay organized, and track my progress towards goals. A paper planner really works for me! I recently bought my Erin Condren Life Planner for 2021 and wanted to share my thoughts on it with you in case you are making a decision on a new planner. Here’s my 2021 Erin Condren Life Planner review:
This post will walk you through how to make your own alphabet bead friendship bracelets inspired by Pura Vida in a step by step guide! These bracelets are super easy to make, and will always be symmetrical when you follow this guide:
Favo Sweater | Knitting Experience
While I was knitting my Briochevron Blanket, I started looking for my next fun project. I am still newer to knitting, but I feel like I’ve knit a good variety of items that I am confident researching new techniques and executing a pattern. I wanted a challenging project and I found a really pretty cabled sweater, but I thought it would be too advanced for me.
Curly Hair Journey | Adwoa Beauty
I’ve been actively trying to train my curly hair to be curlier/accentuate my natural curl pattern through the Curly Girl Method (CG Method) for about 1.5 years now. I had stopped heat styling, using sulfates or silicones, and even started wearing more protective hair styles, but then I noticed my hair was falling out!
Magnolia Little | Knitting Experience
I knit this cute little cardigan for my niece as a quick project after completing my Briochevron Blanket. I wish I had planned it out a little better, but I’m still happy with how it turned out. Check out my knitting experience:
This Briochevron Blanket looked so squishy and fun when I first found the pattern. I knew it would be repetitive and challenging, but I set out to practice my brioche at the beginning of the year and this blanket certainly gave me that! Now that it’s complete, I am so proud of it. Here’s my experience knitting the Briochevron Blanket by Stephen West:
2020 Knitting Project Status
At the beginning of the year, I shared my knitting project plans. I wanted to challenge myself with new techniques and practice my brioche. Now that we’re halfway through the year, I thought it’d be good to check in and share my progress and changes in my plan.
