It’s favorites time! I love reading these kind of posts and sharing my favorites. This is my first favorites post of the year — here’s a look at my favorites for March 2019:

We moved! I’m super happy to be back in Southern California. Moving is a major life event that can be really stressful so I wanted to try to be the most organized as possible to help the process go smoothly. For me, having an Erin Condren Life Planner has definitely helped me to live a more intentional life and to stay on track with my goals. Here’s how I used my Life Planner to help plan and coordinate my move:
Sephora Spring Sale 2019
Every year around April, Sephora holds one of its two annual sales. During the Sephora Spring Sale, Beauty Insiders get 10% off, and VIB & Rouge level get 15% off. Since Sephora’s sales are so infrequent, this is a really great time to try something new and restock your favorites.
Sunscreen is super important to me; it’s rare that I leave my house without wearing any. In fact, aside from a vacation to the beach, I try to avoid the sun at all costs. That may sound extreme, but I’ve spent my fair share of time in the sun growing up, and I want to protect my skin the best I can now.
My go-to sunscreen for years has been the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer which is amazing and has SPF 47. I have really enjoyed all of the Tatcha products that I’ve tried so when I heard about the Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen, I wanted to give it a try.
It’s been about two years since I bought a new eyeshadow palette — I’m actually really happy about it. It’s so easy to see a shiny, new palette and want to buy it, but I only have one set of eyes and I rarely ever hit pan on any of my eyeshadows. I had been using the Tartelette in Bloom palette and it’s beautiful, but I had run out of a few shades and it’s been “expired” for a year 😬. It was time for something new so I purchased the new NARS Ignited eyeshadow palette.
I recently discovered hand-knitted socks and thought that they would be so much fun to make. It’s actually pretty easy and I love creating something that I can wear. If you are familiar with knitting and want to give socks a try, I made instructions for using 9-inch circular needles based on Simply In Stitches‘ interpretation of The Unapologetic Knitter’s pattern.
DIY gifts are so much fun to make and they are extra special to the recipient because they were made with love. A few months ago, I showed you how to make wax string bracelets inspired by Pura Vida — this time I wanted to share a new style for Valentine’s Day. The fishtail braid style is so easy and it looks super pretty — perfect for your valentine.
Sleep is super important for our bodies to repair themselves and to keep us healthy mentally and physically. We spend over one-third of our lives sleeping so it makes sense to make your bedroom a stress-free place where you can relax and feel comfortable. Here are 5 things to remove from your bedroom today and my tips to get better sleep:
It’s time for my 2018 favorites! Most of these are things I’ve shared throughout the year, but I just love seeing these types of posts and sharing the things I’ve been loving. Here are my beauty and lifestyle favorites from 2018:
We have so many things in our homes and in our lives that are no longer bringing us joy or serving us. We hang on to these things because we are use to it, or we think that these things have some sort of value, but if you don’t love it there’s no point in hanging on to it. This is the perfect time to evaluate the things in your life and figure out what you really need and what you really love. Here are 17 things to get rid of this year and my tips for making intentional purchases.
I’ve had my Fitbit Versa Special Edition version since the end of July. It’s been just over 4 months and I wanted to update my initial review. When the Apple Watch Series 4 was released this September, I researched and debated getting it but ultimately decided to stick with the Fitbit. Here’s my updated Fitbit Versa review and the reasons why I didn’t switch to Apple Watch Series 4:
If you have curly hair, you know it can sometimes be a struggle to get your curls to do what you want. I have been on a slow journey to find a routine that would work for my hair to help prevent damage/breakage/frizz and to accentuate my natural curl pattern. This is my experience so far with the Curly Girl Method:
As the end of the year gets closer, I like to start planning for the new year — what goals I want to accomplish, things that I want to cut out from my life, and just overall improvements I want to make. It’s exciting to start fresh on the first of the year and know that you have a “clean slate”. Of course you can start a new goal at any time, but a new year definitely brings a special kind of motivation.
