This Briochevron Blanket looked so squishy and fun when I first found the pattern. I knew it would be repetitive and challenging, but I set out to practice my brioche at the beginning of the year and this blanket certainly gave me that! Now that it’s complete, I am so proud of it. Here’s my experience knitting the Briochevron Blanket by Stephen West:

2020 Knitting Project Status
At the beginning of the year, I shared my knitting project plans. I wanted to challenge myself with new techniques and practice my brioche. Now that we’re halfway through the year, I thought it’d be good to check in and share my progress and changes in my plan.
Tundra Jumper | Knitting Experience
I have already knit this Tundra Sweater before (once for my husband and a cute mini version for my dog). I was super excited because this was my first real attempt at knitting color work. I loved how it turned out for my family, so I was excited to knit one for myself! Keep reading for my experience knitting the Tundra Jumper by The Petite Knitter:
This year, I really wanted to challenge myself with my knitting and learn some new techniques. I planned for a few projects that looked challenging, but also really fun to knit and wear/use. I think the project that I was most excited about was this Marled Magic Sweater by Stephen West. This sweater was so much fun to make and I am so happy with how it turned out; here’s my knitting experience:
With so many fun knitting projects and so many beautiful yarns out there, it can be hard to decide what to cast on next. Now that I’m more comfortable with knitting, I’ve been looking for some more challenging patterns that will be fun to knit, and help me learn more techniques. If you’re looking for some knitting inspiration, here’s a look at the projects that I plan on knitting this year:
I have been constantly knitting since my first Flax Sweater, and I’ve been enjoying each new project. I recently completed this Le Pouf Sweater and wanted to share my experience.
For a while now, I had been considering buying an interchangeable knitting needle set. I finally made the decision to purchase, and I am so happy I did. Here’s my review of the ChiaoGoo Interchangeable Needle Set:
I have been knitting a lot lately, and getting more comfortable understanding what the different stitches look like and how to fix mistakes. I am really confident making socks and I’ve been successful in the couple of blankets that I’ve made, but I wanted to try something a little more “difficult”. I found a free pattern from Tin Can Knits and bought everything I needed to make the Flax Light Pullover for my niece. That sweater was so much fun to make; it wasn’t perfect, but it got me excited to try another one for myself.
I have been loving making my own Pura Vida-inspired bracelets ever since I made my first post about them. If you haven’t seen that DIY, definitely check it out. In this post, I am going to show you how to make your own Pura Vida-inspired seed bead bracelets that are super pretty.
Everyone loves a cute, simple friendship bracelet for summer. You can make them for your friends or for yourself, and they always look perfect with any look. Recently, I showed how to make Pura Vida Bracelets-inspired bracelets and in this post, I am going to show you how to make 4 easy DIY friendship bracelets step-by-step.
Ever since I made my hand-knit socks, I’ve been getting more and more excited about knitting. I’ve made some cute outfits for my dog and recently, I made this super cute baby blanket for my niece. Here’s a link to the pattern and my experience making the Meadowland Baby Afghan:
I recently discovered hand-knitted socks and thought that they would be so much fun to make. It’s actually pretty easy and I love creating something that I can wear. If you are familiar with knitting and want to give socks a try, I made instructions for using 9-inch circular needles based on Simply In Stitches‘ interpretation of The Unapologetic Knitter’s pattern.
DIY gifts are so much fun to make and they are extra special to the recipient because they were made with love. A few months ago, I showed you how to make wax string bracelets inspired by Pura Vida — this time I wanted to share a new style for Valentine’s Day. The fishtail braid style is so easy and it looks super pretty — perfect for your valentine.
I remember when I first found out about Pura Vida bracelets — I had seen Lauren Conrad mention them as good gifts on her blog. The bracelets are so cute and colorful, but were kind of expensive to me at the time. I bought one of the Style Packs on eBay at a big discount and I really loved them. Since then I have bought a few more, but it wasn’t until recently that I thought about making my own!
