I found the cutest DIY on Pinterest via missrenaissance.com — DIY gold foil clay pots for succulents. I thought that this would be perfect for spring and I love succulents so I made my own! I didn’t have any gold foil handy, so I used glitter instead and made spring glitter succulent pots & I love how they turned out.Super cute spring glitter succulent pots diy. I found this cute hexagon hole punch online and wanted to try out some fun DIY art pieces. Lately, I’ve been seeing DIY hexagon/honeycomb shelves — I think they look so exciting and sleek, but wood working isn’t something i’m familiar with but I still love the honeycomb accent, so I thought this was a cool idea.

I made these cute canvas honeycomb art pieces and I am in love. With spring coming up, I chose greens and blues for a “nature” vibe and I added a silver glitter pop to make it a little more interesting.

It can be difficult to incorporate your New Year’s resolutions to be healthy while at work. These 4 tips will help you to stay healthy at work and help you to take care of your body so you can stay on track with your personal goals.

  • Drink Water – It’s important to remember to drink water throughout the day. Water is so important for your body to stay healthy. Plus, staying hydrated can help brain function, which is obviously important at work & your skin will thank you. Avoid sugary drinks like soda — ditch that daily Pepsi and your body will thank you. Invest in a BPA Free water bottle to make drinking water more exciting and convenient.
  • Sit Up Straight – Maintaining good posture is key when working at a desk all day. Engage your abdominal muscles and keep your feet flat on the floor. Good posture will keep your body in alignment and cause less stress on your joints. It can also be a little bit of an ab workout too if you aren’t used to engaging your core muscles!
  • Make a Lunch – It can be tempting or convenient to buy your lunch everyday, but if you take a little extra time in the morning or the night before, you can make a healthy, nutritious lunch. With a healthy lunch ready to go, you won’t make that impulse purchase at Jack In The Box because you’re having a stressful day and you will save a lot of money!
  • Go For a Walk – Getting up and going for a 10 minute walk will help you feel better and more alert. Every step is more calories burned! I’m tracking my steps with my FitBit Flex, but I’m curious about the new FitBit Charge HR which has a heart rate monitor!

Simple Meals | Spinach Quiche

This recipe is so simple to make and tastes delicious.

20 minutes Prep Time. 45 minutes Cook Time

  • 2 deep dish pie crusts
  • 4 oz. crimini mushrooms, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 oz. shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 9 oz. organic baby spinach
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 oz. half and half
  • salt & pepper – to taste

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

muffinchanel vegetarian quiche ingredients spinachBegin string in the spinach leaves until they combine with the onion mixture. You may need to add the spinach in small batches at first.

muffinchanel vegetarian quiche ingredients spinach mixedOnce everything is combined, add salt & pepper, stir, and reduce heat to low. Then, in a large bowl, combine eggs and half and half. Wisk together and add salt and pepper.

muffinchanel vegetarian quiche ingredients pie shellNext, add the egg mixture to the top of the onion mixture and gently shake it from side to side to help the egg infuse with everything.

muffinchanel vegetarian quiche ingredients pie with eggPut your pies into the oven and set a timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, add the remaining 1/4 cheese to the top of your pies. Then bake for an additional 35 minutes

Quick & Easy Valentine’s Day DIY Gift

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and if you’re looking for a quick and easy DIY gift, look no further. I found this simple Valentine’s Day themed candy jar idea through Pinterest from thefrugalgirls.com, so I thought I’d re-create it as a perfect gift for friends and family.

muffinchanel-valentines-day-diy-gift-materials-1024x661I love the Valentine’s Day themed M&M’s! Even though they taste the same, all Pink’s and Red’s seem magical. ❤ Anyway, it’s pretty straight forward — separate your M&M’s by color and layer them into your mason jar.




muffinchanel-valentines-day-2014-diy-craft-gift-ideas-1024x768Then, to make it a little extra special, I cut out a few hearts out of the red construction paper and wrote some fun Valentine’s Day themed notes — “I love you” & “You’re sweet”. I slid the hearts into the side of the jar so that they’ll show through the glass.

Then I cut a ‘tag’ out of the construction paper as a To: label and attached it to the jar with some red yarn. Super easy! Just make sure to get a smaller/cuter sized mason jar so the M&M’s can fill it all the way. 🙂

Vegetarian Sandwich | Sautéed Peppers & Onions

This vegetarian sandwich is easy to make and tastes great!

You’ll need:

  • Cracked Wheat Sourdough bread
  • Bell Peppers
  • Red Onion
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Olive Oil
  • Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Cilantro-Jalepeño Hummus
  • Mustard
  • Tomato
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Broil your bread in the oven and lightly drizzle some Olive Oil on one side, then flip the bread over and let your cheese melt slightly on the bread.

Remove the bread from the oven and add tomato slices to one slice of bread, and spread hummus and mustard to the other slice. *Use a thin layer of hummus. Add salt and pepper to taste.
