Nightshift Shawl | Knitting Experience
I finally finished my Nightshift Shawl by Andrea Mowry. This shawl took me a lot longer to knit than I planned, but I’m really happy with the finished product. Keep reading for my experience knitting the Nightshift shawl:
I recently finished knitting my second Briochevron Blanket as the ultimate stash-busting project, but I ended up not using up all of my stash. I felt like some of the colors weren’t a good fit for the blanket, so I saved them for another project which ended up being this Scrapbuster Satchel!
I knit the Single Malt sweater by Maxim Cyr as a gift for my husband. The Single Malt sweater is knit in the round top-down with raglan sleeves. It uses a simple, yet beautiful stitch motif in an Aran weight yarn on size US 8 needles. Continue reading for my experience knitting the Single Malt Sweater.
I knit the Shawlography Shawl during my first mystery knit along, and I really enjoyed it! I had a few reservations at first, but each clue of Shawlography was a lot of fun. Keep Reading for my Shawlography Knitting Experience:
The Hiberknitting Cowl is knit in the round with four sections that play with colorwork and different stitch patterns. I’d never knit a cowl before but it looked like it would be a fun knit. I really enjoyed moving onto the next section and working with such pretty yarn. Keep reading for my experience knitting the Hiberknitting Cowl by Stephen West:
October Hat | Knitting Experience
The October Hat by Sloane Rosenthal is free pattern. It is worked in the round from the bottom up using aran weight yarn. I had been working on a Honeycomb Aran sweater with all over cables, and thought I would also enjoy a smaller cable project.
Penguono | Knitting Experience
I knit the Penguono by Stephen West and it turned out even more amazing than I imagined it could. Keep reading for the modifications I planned, the yarn I used, and my thoughts on the pattern in my Penguono Knitting Experience:
Fantastitch | Knitting Experience
I’ve been knitting consistently for almost two years now. That sounds like a fair amount of time, but I still feel pretty new to the hobby. I’ve been successful in a lot of different projects, but I’ve never knit a scarf or a shawl. I see so many shawl patterns on LoveCrafts and on Ravelry; they seem like the most popular knits, but I was never really interested in them because I didn’t think they were my style. But after making the Fantastitch, I think shawls are the perfect knit — big enough to be interesting, but small enough to finish in a reasonable time and easy to store.

Honeycomb Aran | Knitting Experience
I knit my very first cable in my beautiful Favo Sweater and it was so much easier than I thought it would be. I knew I wanted to try an all-over cabled sweater, and I found the Honeycomb Aran pattern by Patons. It turned out super pretty and I already have plans to knit another one for myself.
Pengweeno | Knitting Experience
This cute little sweater was in my queue last year, but I never got around to making it. My niece’s birthday is coming up, and I wanted to make something fun for her. The Pengweeno is the perfect party jacket that I think she’ll love.
I knit up these super cute, celestial sweaters for myself and my niece. The Astraeus is the adult version, and the Moonbeam is the child version. Read all about my knitting experience here:
This Briochevron Blanket looked so squishy and fun when I first found the pattern. I knew it would be repetitive and challenging, but I set out to practice my brioche at the beginning of the year and this blanket certainly gave me that! Now that it’s complete, I am so proud of it.
