The Christmas Penguin bubble bar is so adorable; I love it so much. And with a fresh sort of citrus-y scent, it makes a beautiful LUSH bath. All of the LUSH Christmas stuff is so pretty this year. I love everything so much so I wanted to try to re-create some of the Christmas products. This is a DIY The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar recipe. Lush Christmas Haul 2016 is here! I just got some of the new LUSH Christmas range and it’s so pretty. They’ve brought back some of the old favorites, and also some new things that I can’t wait to try out.
After making my own Lush-inspired bubble bars, I wanted to try out making other Lush products. I found a bunch of Pinterest pins on how to make DIY bath bombs, so I tried it out and it turned out great! It was super easy and really cool to customize the colors and scents with different essential oils.
I made a few batches of these bath bombs and I think I’ve found the best recipe out of all the different ones out there & I have some tips to help your bath bombs turn out great the first time!

I absolutely love the Comforter Bubble Bar – hands down, number 1 favorite. I’m super sad they keep raising the prices, but I really love the smell, the pink, the bubbles — pretty much everything. Last time I was at LUSH, they gave me a sample of the Comforter Shower Cream but when I smelled it in store, I didn’t really care for it. Boy, was I wrong!!

I love all of Lush Cosmetics’ bath products — bath bombs (make your own Lush-Inspired Bath Bombs), bubbleroons, and of course bubble bars! I’ve been a Lush customer for at least 5 years and I’ve posted all over about my favorite products, my Lush Hauls, the limited edition seasonal products, (hello, Valentine’s Day!) and more.
It’s no secret that I love a nice, long Lush bath — in fact, my go-to Lush favorite is the Comforter Bubble Bar. Love. Love. Love. So, when I recently went in to Lush, I was super sad to see that the price of the Comforter Bubble Bar had gone up again 🙁
I really love the Comforter, but the value for the price is getting kind of close for me. I cut it up into smaller pieces for my bath, but I thought it was pricey at $9.95, and now that it’s $11.95, I’ve started looking into other options for my bubble bath.
I found this Bubble Bar recipe on Hayley Williams’ YouTube and it was super fun to make. I made a ton of fun Bubble Bars and figured out a few tips for the next time I make these.

It’s that time of year already! Lush’s Valentine’s Day 2015 products are available now and they are super pretty! I’m so excited for this little haul! This year’s collection is so much more fun than last year’s…..although I did love the Neon Love soap from the 2014 collection.
Here are all of the Valentine’s Day 2015 items I got. There are a couple of lip products, soap, Love Locket, and the Prince Charming shower gel that weren’t as interesting to me. I was most excited about the Unicorn Horn bubble bar; so colorful!

I don’t usually get excited about the seasonal items from Lush — I love the classics (the Comforter is my favorite). But this year, I wanted to try out some of the Lush Christmas products. I bought Northern Lights bath bomb when it came out a month or so ago and I loved it; the colors were super pretty and it smelled great.
So naturally, I wanted to grab another one when I ran out of my “Lush stash”. I’m super excited because I got to stock up on everything with this Lush Haul — classics and Christmas!
The Northern Lights bath bomb wasn’t out on its own — apparently they’re all breaking during the shipping process, so one of the Lush girls pointed out the Poptastic gift box which has Northern Lights and Sparkler. 
Unfortunately, my Northern Lights was broken when I opened the box. It’s fine though, I know the bath will still look and smell amazing!
The rest of my Lush Christmas looks equally amazing. I’m so excited because I’ve haven’t tried any of these products except the Snow Fairy shower gel.
The Snow Fairy shower gel is such a pretty pink color. I love all of the pink things at Lush! Actually, when I first used this gel, I didn’t like the smell at all. I’d gotten it in a gift box and I remember not liking it or the Rock Star soap. But I like it a lot now — it’s sort of like a cotton candy smell. 
When I saw the Holly Go Lightly bubble bar — with silver glitter all over — I knew I wanted to try it out. Mostly because it looks so pretty, but also because it smells warm and cinnamon-y. It’s a large sized bubble bar which is nice — you could definitely break this up for multiple uses.
The Wizard bubble bar looks super cute. There is a little yellow star at the top of his wizard’s hat. Mine is a little more pink looking than other’s I’ve seen. I think this might be part of the Halloween collection, but either way, I’m glad I got to buy one before they ran out.
The Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb looks like it has a little bit of everything. There are lots of fun colored polka dots within the mostly pink bomb. It smells like soothing lavender and doesn’t appear to gave any glitter or things that will make clean up difficult.

The Hello Gorgeous box from Lush looks like a perfectly wrapped present. The floral print on the colbolt blue box is beautiful and the silky pink bow makes everything just pop!
This set comes with The Comforter bubble bar (my favorite!), Sakura bath bomb, Rub Rub Rub shower scrub, Vanilla Dee-Lite body lotion, Lemony Flutter cuticle butter, and Gorgeous facial moisturizer!
I’ve told you how much I love the comforter, but I’d never tried any of these other products and was super excited when my mom gifted me — Thanks, Mom!
I used the Rub Rub Rub and Sakura the other day and I really like the scrub.
The scrub is a super pretty blue and the sea salt makes it look like there’re bubbles inside. It smells nice and the scrub is coarse — good for exfoliating the body, not your face.
The Sakura bath bomb was just “meh” to me. Nothing really special — it did smell nice but it made the water kind of murky looking. It might be better to use with a bubble bar (like the Comforter :))
The next thing I tried was the Gorgeous facial moisturizer; the star of the show in this set. Regularly, the Gorgeous moisturizer sells for $80-90 and whenever I go in to a Lush to look at their skincare, they always rave about it, but I wasn’t interested because of the price.
I’m so excited that it was included in this set (a mini version) because I’m very pleased with it so far. It smells a little weird, but my skin feels great and looks more even to me. It’s not very greasy feeling and it absorbs well. I’ve been using it morning and night the last few days and I’m really liking it.

I picked up the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish at the Spring Social event last Sunday at Sephora. I’ve been using it every night and have noticed a difference in my lips already!
I prefer this lip scrub over the Lush ones because the scent/flavor is better and because it is more hydrating. I have the Bubblegum and Mint Julips variations of the Lush sugar scrubs but I stopped using them because I didn’t really like the scent anymore. I never liked the Bubblegum & Mint Julips was ok, but it was weird to me to smear chocolate-mint flavor on my lips. The FRESH Lip Scrub is a plain, sweet brown sugar scent; very neutral and clean.
The Lush lip scrubs are more abrasive than the Lip Polish from FRESH. I always felt like they were really getting off the dry flakes, but they seemed to make my lips drier. I’d follow with a nice balm but the next day my lips would be peeling and uncomfortable; it was a horrible cycle. The FRESH Lip Polish is so much better! The sugar pieces seem finer and there are oils built into the scrub. So, I feel like it’s gently buffing away and dry or rough areas while hydrating at the same time.
My lips have been in better condition anyway since I began using the Dior Creme de Rose Balm. But now using the FRESH Lip Polish in conjunction with Creme de Rose, my lips feel soft and amazing. I gently rub the Lip Polish on my lips and then let the sugar sit for a couple of minutes and just wipe it away with a tissue. I then follow with the Creme de Rose as usual and wake up with happy lips.
You don’t have to use the Lip Polish every day…probably once to two times a week would be fine. It’s a nice way to pamper yourself and help your lips to be soft and hydrated! There are no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, or triclosan in this scrub, so your lips will be happy and healthy!

I popped into Lush to get a few favorites, but I was also excited to see their Valentine’s Day items. I got the Comforter Bubble Bar (my FAVORITE!), two Sex Bomb Bath Bombs, and a small chunk of the new Neon Love Soap.
The soap is limited edition for Valentine’s Day and is a super pretty reddish-pink color with a white heart running through the middle. The hearts were cut all weird in the blocks at the store, but one of the sales associates was super nice and cut me a piece with a perfect heart! ❤
From Lush “With fresh passion fruit juice to cleanse and soya yogurt to nourish, Neon Love is one we want to use all over our bodies in the bath and shower. A new perfume was blended for this bar, and includes citrusy bergamot, rosewood and spicy cinnamon leaf oil. Hiding inside the huge heart-shaped soap are little white hearts to ensure every slice looks just as beautiful as it smells.”
I really like the way this smells and kind of wish I’d gotten a larger piece. It smells warm and cinnamon-y but not spicy; and sweet and citrus-y; very clean. The scent lingers for a while. Plus, it makes a sweet pink lather which is amazing. It did made my hands feel kind of dry after washing with it & I had to use some hand cream to get rid of the tightness. :/
